Dr. Long has enjoyed Rockport and the surrounding area since the early 1980s. His many trips to the community enticed him to buy a home in Rockport four years ago. He then set out to establish a dental practice here. Like so many who suffered the devastating effects of hurricane Harvey, his office opening was delayed due to damage from the storm. He opened Church Street Dental on March 19, 2018 at 405 N. Church Street in Rockport, Texas.

Dr. Long brings over 30 years of experience in general dentistry, complex implant work and orthodontics. He combines his skills in orthodontics, implants and porcelain veneers to create a perfect smile. He uses the latest techniques, technology and materials available to bring you the best dentistry in a relaxed setting. Dr. Long handles everything from teeth cleaning, fillings and general care to full mouth implant supported dentures. He works with children, adults and seniors, taking special care to get to know his clients and their families. He works hard to explain his procedures to his patients and is pleased to answer all the questions they have.

Dr. Long has completed extensive implant training, including collaborations with some of the best dentist in the country. During the 1990s, he trained with the late Dr. Bob Gerety, one of the top orthodontic instructors in the country. Dr. Long’s work is admired by many specialists in this area of dentistry. In 2000, he teamed up with Dr. Kent Stobaugh, a noted oral surgeon, to perform over 500 implant cases. He performs everything from single tooth replacement to “teeth in a day” procedures, like you may have seen on television.

Dr. Long attended Texas State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in 1979. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in 1985. Dr. Long is a member of the American Orthodontic Society, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Greater Houston Dental Society. He has three grown children and two grandchildren.
